Blog Garden

by TAO on 05/04/2010

Greensboro, NC has a nature preserve called the Bog Garden right in the heart of the city. Both paved and wood planked walkways let you shamble about an area that has a marshy part and a small lake. It’s a lovely little place that lets you see area flowers, plants, and some wildlife. I’ve gone there a few times and here are some pictures from my last visit.

Lovely photography, TAO! Macro’d to perfection. :) But the best picture goes to: “Who is it?” That duck didn’t even duck!

Wish we had a park like that in the city. Looks lush as a forest. And wish I had a camera like that!

Thanks for the nice comments! About every 20000 picture I get something worth keeping. LOL!

The ducks and geese there are extremely tame and used to humans. They actually often wait for you to throw them something to eat.

You got some really good shots – looks like a beautiful place. Too bad about that goose infestation… ;)
[Seriously, the one peeking over the board? Priceless!]

I stayed as far away from the geese as possible. They scare me and they know it!

Beautiful light in – I love sunlight filtered through green leaves like this. The duck photos are great – done with a lot of humour. This post made me smile and I guess that is a good thing ;)
